Mrs. Princing's 6th grade reading class read the novel, All of the Above, by Shelley Pearsall. The novel is based on a true story; it is a suspenseful story about four inner-city students and their desire to build the world's largest tetrahedron. Despite challenges along the way, the most unexpected friendships arise and a community comes together in a powerful and inspirational way.

Our class was challenged in a similar way to create their own tetrahedrons. Each group had a leader and every member was required to complete three project reflections during this process. At the culmination of the project, students wrote a group reflection together. Unexpected friendships and unexpected evidence of leadership emerged from this project.
