The Northern Valley Regional High School District is excited to announce the appointments of three new principals for the 2025–2026 school year. At Northern Valley Central (NVC), Ms. Cara Bayer has been appointed to lead the school, replacing Dr. Blair Rosenthal, who is departing the district to pursue a new professional opportunity. We express our sincere appreciation to Dr. Rosenthal for her dedicated service and wish her continued success in her next chapter. Ms. Bayer brings deep experience in special education and student-centered leadership, and we are confident in her ability to carry NVC’s mission forward with integrity and care.
At Northern Valley Regional High School at Demarest (NVD), Mr. Keith Johnson has been appointed principal, succeeding Dr. Bruce Sabatini, who is retiring after 19 years of outstanding service and leadership. Mr. Johnson brings a wealth of experience in educational leadership and a passion for fostering student success. The district extends its heartfelt thanks to Dr. Sabatini for his remarkable dedication and countless contributions over the past two decades.
At Northern Valley Regional High School at Old Tappan (NVOT), Ms. Taylor West has been appointed principal, taking over from Mr. Frank Scarafile, who served as interim principal during this past school year. We thank Mr. Scarafile for his steady guidance and support during this transitional period. A proud graduate of NVOT, Ms. West brings a strong connection to the school community, along with a clear vision and unwavering commitment to academic excellence that will serve NVOT well for years to come.
