Two Degrees. One Timeline.
Here's something we're proud of: eligible Northern Valley Regional High School students can graduate with both a high school diploma and an Associate of Science in Professional Studies from Bergen Community College, both earned at the same time, on the same timeline through our Early College Degree Program.
Our ability to have this type of partnership with BCC speaks to our strong curriculum and qualified teachers. For BCC to credit our courses as college-level work, our curriculum has to meet college standards, and our teachers have to be qualified to deliver it. Northern Valley meets that bar in subject after subject.
For students, it means starting college with up to 60 transferable credits, real experience with college-level work, and the confidence that comes from having succeeded at it. For families, it means a meaningful head start on the cost and timeline of higher education. For our community, it's a reflection of the quality our teachers bring to their classrooms every day.
Want to earn some dual enrollment credits, but not commit to an associates degree? You can!
If you're wondering whether the program might be a fit, the best first step is a conversation with your school counselor. You can also reach Dr. Salvatore Lima (LimaS@nvnet.org) or Mr. Matthew Spatz (spatzm@nvnet.org) directly. Program details are available at nvnet.org.
